Saturday morning the rain came! So we decided to cancel the walk in nearby town, Svendborg. Instead we drove straight to the small ferry, which should take us to the micro island, Skarø.
The trip took half and hour, and when we got there the rain had stopped. So we went for a walk on the peaceful little island. We ended in the café, where they produce a famous ecologic icecream.
Skarø is a tiny island with no more than 36 inhabitants. We spent an hour there, and then walk back to the ferry. The narrow road was shared between us and three cars, which were also going to Svendborg.
Back in Svendborg we drove back to the campsite and celebrated the 1-year birthday of our M-litter (which actually was some weeks ago). There were several home baked cakes to enjoy.
Finally Tina and Preben had arranged this year's treasure hunt. It was really something! We should guess the right names of photos of the dogs participating on the Blue Berry weekend. It was not easy! Not even for the dog's owners! The treasure box contained goodies for both dogs and humans.
The winning team had dog-stuff, and the youngest guy got this years wandering trophy – it should be back again for next year's weekend.
We had a fine night in the tent, eating, drinking wine, talking and laughing.
There was just about room enough for us on the Skarø-ferry.
