It is rare that one can get a whole week of summer weather in late April.
We were able to do that when we spent Easter in Helle's lovely cottage in Ålbæk. - North Jutland.
Snowy and Tiffany were on the trip, and this is the first time we only bring two dogs.
They were easy to travel with and enjoyed each other's company.
We took the ferry from Odden to Ebeltoft and drove past the bookshop Trangbæk in Rønde and bought wine from Domaine Pelaquie. Then we had supplies for the holiday fish.
As it was Easter with the holidays, Birte had called the fishing importer in Strandby and in advance ordered a lot of fish - turbot, monkfish, plaice, quill roe and virgin lobster tail. Traditionally, it stands on fish every day when we are up there!
For Snowy and Tiffany and for us it was a real pleasure to come to North Jutland.
We had a lot of trips in many of the well-known places. In the plantations and in the dunes, along the North Sea and the beaches to the east.
We had time to go with Birgit and her two OES Cassie and Abby - as it has become a regular tradition.
This time we also had time to have lunch with Birgit and Stig at the fish restaurant in Sæby. Lovely!
A trip to the west led us to Anni and Flemming's beautiful exhibition in their gallery near Hjørring. It was a great experience and great to meet them again. They recently lost their old OES and are waiting to get a new one.
All in all, a wonderful holiday, where there was also time to relax, read books and just laze
