Saturday it was time for the Dyrvig family to come at bring Louis to his new home in Fredericia.
That part of being a breeder is never funny! The best way to give a puppy to the new home is, for us, to go there with the pup. But we already knew Dyrvig very well and Neo's family should arrive fro Sweden later the same day. So it felt OK.
They came and brought their old OES, Me-Too, so that she and Louis could say hello.
We had a cup of coffee and finished the paper work. So it was time for goodbye.
Maise stick her nose to Louis' Nose, as he sat in the bottom of the car together with Lone. Filled with puppy-food and dog-stuff the car drove away from our home and out into the world. To a new life for Louis.
Ohh, how we hate that part! We will never learn to let the pups go after having spent eight intense weeks together with them. It cuts so deep in our hearts every time. Furthermore we feel like being cruel to Maise for removing her beloved kids. But so is life
Louis had a fine trip - including a pee break – to Fredericia.
He searched through his new home, got food and water and new toys, slept a little and then tried to learn Me-Too better to know. To him this felt natural and exciting. He did get some hour's sleep the first night, until he woke up and demanded entertainment!ntes det var helt naturligt og spændende, og han sov da også nogle timer den første nat, indtil han vågnede og forlangte at blive underholdt.
We know that Louis will get the best possible life for a dog in the Dyrvig family.
So we wish them the best of luck with our little peace of gold.
