We still remember, when Meggie as a small puppy was jumping around in the the garden of family ter Moors in Enschede Holland.
Eef recorded a small video for us, because we were not able to follow the growing of our dreampuppy on such a distance. In stead he gave us this film, in which he and wife Rita wished us all the luck with our little, new puppy. They hoped she would give us all the puppies we dreamed of later in life.
Vigilat's Tale Of Meggie Moonbeam - Meggie was a mating-puppy after Birte and Jorgens first OES together, Paddy. So Meggie was something special. So she was for the rest of her life.
Meggie had to litters, and with them we got lots of very dear friends all over the country. People and now grown up dogs that we see frequently.
Meggie was beloved by everybody. Cheeky and devil-may-care. But sweet and so kind to everybody. With her special 'Paddy-smile' she clearly showed joy or embarresment depending on the situaton. She liked food very much, so it happend once in a while, that she snapped something from the table. With her smile she said: 'I know I shouldn't havde done this, but I couldn't help it!' - after that, you couldn't but love her.
So reacted our friends. They often called her Grandma to tell how much they liked her.
Meggie has joined us in every part of life. Holidays in Provence, holidays n Denmark, walks everywhere, agility, obediencetraining and at the famous Tivoli-dog days.
She has had a super dogs life, and we have enjoyed it together with her.
But she suffered more and more from rheumatism and also had lumps in her body.
On the other hand she was always happy and doing very well.
Just like she was the three last weeks of her life. She spend them on the best place of all, while we were on holiday in France: In the home of family Falch on Ærø together with her own and very first puppy ever, Moonie.
We just came back from France, as the phone rang from Ærø. Meggie had had a stroke and was more or less paralysed in her left side.
The incredible family Falch offered to bring Meggie home to us at once.
They came sunday, and we experienced that things were not good at all.
Late in the afternoon sunday we took the decision. Thank Good you can do that to animals.
Meggie was lying in the back of our van, the door was wide open, and the summersun was shining all over her from above the cornfields beside.
The vet gave her the injection. Quitely she fell asleep. 11 years of age.
Undramatically, right and so dammned hard afterwards.
