This weekend we had to deliver the last three puppies.
Friday we drove some kilometers up in Sweden with Madicken and mother Maise I the car. We met with Eva Magnusson on a pick nick area, were the dogs could go out and pee, have some water and food and relax before the long journey home. Eva had Madicken’s half sister, Moa, with her in the car. We hope that the two of them can have a happy life together.
Eva life’s close to Stockholm, which is very far from our home. So we found it hard to say goodbye. It felt like a goodbye forever.
It was easier Saturday, when we drove Mishka to his new home in Anisse, North Sealand.
It was also OK to say goodbye to Coco, who drove with her family to Langeland on Fyn. We know family Falch on Tåsinge close by, so we look forward to seeing her once in a while.

We have heard from all of the puppies, who are doing very well in their new homes, and we look forward to seeing them again in the months to come – maybe on our puppy day, on our Tåsinge-weekend in August or on some of the many OES Club activities.

As written earlier, on one of the puppies was found cataract at the eye examination. We were shocked, remembering the form of cataract, which was found in Denmark 20 years ago in the OES breed.

Luckily it has turned out, that the form of cataract is the so-called Y-söms-cataract, which – after what we have been told I Sweden – will not develop blindness, and which in Sweden is accepted in breed as long as you don’t double.
What a relief, both for the life of the puppy and for our future breeding.
