As we have told earlier on our website, Samson from our I-litter had a livershunt. Even though his owners, the Gøttsche family, were very optimistic and did a hard work putting Samson on a diet, suddenly Samson got very ill. The 3th of July he was put to sleep. He was only 16 months old, but in his short life he managed to convince the family that there is no dog but an OES.
We talked a lot about Samson, about handling the feelings coming when you are loosing a close friend, and when you will be ready for a new puppy.
The family decided that they wanted to try to get a new puppy as soon as possible. Due to circumstances they had five weeks holdiday ahead with no particulary plans so ever.What a perfect time to bring in a new puppy. But where to find one?
The end of the rainbow was in Holland, where Birte with a lot of help from her friends abroad could bring the Gøttsche family to the small kennel 'From Rocky's Desteney'.
Off the family went to Holland, were accepted by the other dogs in the kennel (!) and were allowed to buy the dog Rock home to Denmark.
So, no sooner than a week after Samson's death, the family could say hello to an eight weeks old puppy in their home in Rungsted, north of Copenhagen.Since they felt the name Rock was a bit difficult to call a dog, they choose another name. Due to the walleye, Rock's name is now Bowie - like the famous rockstar!



We visited Gøttsche and Bowie this weekend. We brought our own Misty. Bowie felt she was nice to play with and run after.
