Once again our vacation was in France. We only took Snowy with us. She is youngest and needed to stand on her own.
Bodil and Einar took Maise home to Tåsinge, after they visited us for the Special Show. Alonso spent the days at Lene and Kim and their two Labrador Retrievers.
We started at 6 a.m. and nine hours later we reached Thionville close to the border between France and Luxembourg. We had booked a hotel here.
The next day we drove to Nyons in the Drôme district. We have stayed there many times before, and once again we booked room no. 6. A perfect room for dogs. Heading north (cool) and with a nice terrace.
Nyons is a very pretty village, especially famous for the great olives.
We stayed two days in Nyons and drove off through the mountains towards Sisteron and further along to Régusse in the Var-district. Here we had rented a cottage, where we have actually stayed seven times before. The first time was exactly 15 years ago: www.regusse.dk
The area is full of wonderful villages, great market-places and in short distance to the impressive Lake St. Croix, where we found many great picnic-spots for relaxing in the nice climate.
After a wonderful week in Var we drove to the "wine-country"
