Liv Backe has passed away much too early the 24th of september 2001.

We first met about 14 years ago to a grooming-arrangement in Høsterkøb Denmark.
Liv and Torben had taken over Mick from an animals home and without any help it was hard to handle a big OES-coat.
This was Liv's first meeting with the danish OES-club.
Liv together with Torben quickly got interested in everything in and about the OES-club and our breed. And since then she has definately been the most active member of our club.

Liv was a pro in grooming and showing her dogs. This let to many top results in the show ring and Liv got credits all over Europe. But more than that she was known all over as a warm, joyfull and very intense person. In Denmark she participated with Torben and the dogs in obedience, agility, OES-weekends, pick-nicks, walks, barbeque-OES-nights end so on. Liv was also very often co-organizer at grooming-sessions and show-training-days.
In spite of 'her own' big coats she was always there to help every OES-owner who was not himself able to handle an old english coat.

Also the more practical site of the club-work she took part in. She did the club-accounts, was responsible for the club-homepage and the show-committee.
As breeders and OES-owners we both had happy times, as well as disappointments and worries.
Liv was allways ready to talk things over, and she was always willing to listen.

Her life was much too short, but she experienced more than many do in longer life.
We will miss her much, but also be happy in remembering the many wonderfull memories we spent together. And we shall think of her the next time, we go to an OES-club arrangement.
No doubt we will feel, Liv is there among us.
