After one week in Italy we drove to Provence. In the Luberon mountains lies the city of Apt. We have been here many times, so it felt just like going home again.
The first night we slept in a hotel. The next morning we had our car parked and lots of time visiting the local market in Apt. The best in the area. ´
During the week we did some walk in the Grand Luberon, and in the Ceder Forest on top of the chain. Nice to get in close contact with Tiffany who behaved very well and listened to everything we told her, when we climbed the mountains.
One day we went to one of the many small towns in the Luberon National Park, Roussillon. Know for it’s beautiful colors and the ochre quarries.
We also went to our favorite wine area – the Rhône-district. We visited the towns of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, tavel, Beaumes de Venise and Gigondas. We also did a heavy walk up to the Dentelles mountains from Gigondas.
One of the best visits to vineyards was at Domaine de la Mordorée in Tavel.
With the car filled with wine and others stuff from Provence it was time to drive the long way back north.
Even though we had gotten lots of emails with pictures of our three dogs home in Denmark, we missed them – and so did Tiffany. So it was great to have them all together again and go for a walk in a Danish forest!
This was yet another great holiday. Only made possible by the huge help from Bodil, Einar, Lene and Kim who took so good care of our beloved dogs. And Trine and Arvid, Kim and Laila who looked after our house.
