We had given up everything, but it succeded anyway!
The 6. and 7. of January Misty (Lammorick's Snowflake) was mated with Sparky (Dreamdancer's Ballantines).
During Misty's season we have had our dog Magnus running together with her, so that his reactions could be our guideline for when to go to Germany. Magnus got more interested, but on the day, we expected the mating to take place, he just nosed to Misty and then lay down on the floor.
We were deeply frustrated and cancelled all arrangements!
In stead Birte went to the beach with our dogs, Tumle (who stayed in our house) and Beate and Salvatore with his four dogs. They had a nice walk on the beach (right). But all of a sudden Magnus got very, very interested in Misty! It was about time for mating, so they were quickly separated.
We packed our things in a hurry,. and headed for Bützow - apr. 100 km east of Lübeck.
Simone and Thomas gave us a great welcome. We talked a little and said hello to their lovely dogs, before Misty was taken in to the house to meet Sparky.
She like him, and Sparky was on his marks. It was a perfect mating.
Afterwards we drove to the cityhotel to relax, while Misty had some goodies and slept for the night (left).
Next day we went to see the area. We went shopping in Rostock near by and saw Warnemünde, before we met with the Richter family aagain. There was one more mating, and then we drove home to Denmark.
We drove in heavy rain and lots of wind. But we were so happy for the mating well done. And so happy about the very friendly welcome we had in the Richter house.

Now all we can do is wait. Misty is layinbg looking very pregnant, and our dogs seem to agree with her.
We shall se, when it's time for scanning, if science agree with the dogs instinkts!

To be continued!
Misty and Sparky had trouble sitting nice, while the picture was taken. The picture above doe not at all do Sparky justice, so we borrowed a photo from Dreamdancer's (right).
