Impressive, what happens in just one week. You may notice it from the pictures here and one week back. The puppies grow quickly and are beginning to look like real dogs. They are still on the heavy side. We have tried to keep Misty apart from them as much as possible, and we have given them dogsfood instead. We also tried to add some milk-replacement, but no. Not untill we bought some minced meat were they satisfied - and yet they prefere Misty's food to everything else!
Furthermore we don't want to separate Misty from the two pups. They need eachother alle three.
The last couple of days education and evaluation has been on the agenda.
When the pups have eaten enough, Misty lays beside them and teaches them how real dogs behave, when they play. She finishes dog-school by rolling on her back - lesson is over!
When they get too harsh, she tells them.
They like to fight - of course. Puppies do. But Misty stops too much fighting. She wont accept that. Gently putting her nose between the two rowdies or sucking them both, is an effective way of stopping this.
Who of the two males is the most dominating is hard to tell. That changes from day to day. Bigbrother (with the black eyespot) is most impudent and direct. But he is also a bit more squeky when it comes to new experiences.
Littlebrother with two blue (Magnus)-eyes is more calm, but doesn't stand beeing mopped. And he is not soon to beat up bigbrother!
